Wedge Wire Screen Cylinders and Tubes

Welded wedge wires are superior for retaining media, filtering, and sizing. In comparison with wire mesh and perforated metal, wedge wire continuous slot screens have more open area, have very precise openings, are stronger and more durable, are virtually non-clogging and reduce media abrasion.

Forms of Screen Filters: Createch wedge wires are supplied in panel filters, curved screen and cylinder/tubes. Wire mesh and perforated metal may be less expensive initially, but wedge wire screens offer easier installation and long-term operating and cost benefits.

Wedge wire screens are either flow-out-to-in (FOTI) or flow-in-to-out (FITO).

Wedge wire Screens are custom made for your application. The features of this type of screen make it an attractive solution for separating solids from liquids, retaining media, filtering, sizing, dewatering, collecting, and distributing.

They are usually made of Type 304 stainless steel although other alloys are available. Type 316 stainless steel may be used for salt water installations. High manganese wedge wire material is used for abrasive applications such as mineral processing. The all-welded stainless steel construction produces high strength and extended service life.

Dimensions:
- maximum profile wire length of 2000 mm, 2800mm
- maximum support rod length of 4000 mm, 4500mm
- standard spacing between the support rods of: 25, 50, 75, 100 up to 300mm and more.
Slot opening can be very micron to 0, 03 mm.

Wedge wire materials:
Varnished Low Carbon Steel.
Galvanized Steel.
AISI 304 Stainless Steel.
AISI 316 Stainless Steel.
Other materials available upon request

Wedge Wire Screens provide a unique combination of the most important features required for maximum screening efficiency. The product is custom designed to suit the specific requirements of the customer and to enable a relatively low cost and high performance solution for the screening application. The high open area of the Wedge Wire screen provides excellent capacity. Wedge Wire screen offers continuous slot openings that widen inwardly so that particles tend to pass through the screen.
